This week on the CNET Tech Review: the Apple iPhone 4S boasts big improvements; new mobile goodies from CTIA; make your Android phone more like Siri; and a touching tribute to Steve Jobs. Comments: 16:30 People who were disappointed from the iPhone 4S are fools. iPhone 3GS was an upgrade to the iPhone 3G. It looked the same. So why would they suddenly decide to make a whole new device, especially when they already won the competition? Doesn't make sense. The iPhone 5 will include a 3.9" or 4" display. It will be slimmer and include 4G. And maybe it'll have a new camera, or some other revolutionary software/hardware. But you can't expect that after the iPhone 4. Its apps are all designed on a system that doesn't conform to different screen sizes like Android. However, to save some effort and a LOT of money to create a separate product to manufacture, they limited the benefits of the iphone overall. First, the A5 in the 4S is actually underclocked at 800mhz. Second, the clock speed of a processor doesn't always necessarily mean it's going to be faster the higher the speed. Threading between the 2 cores is more of a factor, and it just so happens, benchmark-wise, that the A5 blows away any other phone on the market to date. It turns out that when you hold the iPhone in your left hand and articulate your thumb, you can reach almost exactly to the other side of the screen.
